Meet Our Instructors

Jason Ritchie is an educator in and resident of Katy, Texas. He currently teaches in the Katy Independent School District and holds over 25 years of experience and success teaching students programming through the use of LEGO® Mindstorms Robots. Over the years, he has developed a style of teaching robotics that has helped thousands of students learn the fundamentals of computer science quickly to become successful programmers, problem solvers, and creative thinkers. When not programming robots, he also spends his time teaching private piano lessons in his studio.

Sean O'Connor has been an educator in Katy Independent School District for 13 years. He currently teaches at Griffin Elementary School and coaches at West Memorial Junior High. He has a variety of additional teaching experiences including computer labs, science camps, and outdoor learning activities. He has worked with Mr. Ritchie for many years and is excited about helping students gain a working knowledge of computer science through the LEGO® Robotics system.

Paola Benito is a graduate of the University of Houston, from which she holds a Bachelors Degree in Teaching and Learning. She has taught reading and math for 4 years at Kumon Learning Center. While she was working here, she gained an interest and passion for education. She currently teaches at Saint Albert of Trapani Catholic Church, in which she mentors middle school students. Her love of teaching led her to become an instructor at Katy Robotics, where she is eager to keep developing her teaching instruction while she helps students develop an understanding of programming and engineering.
